Crochet coaster with self striping yarn is unique. The pattern is fun and easy to make.

You can use your favorite colors, then just crochet and watch how your coaster become an art.
Of course, you can make it in one color. It will be nice, too.
So, I used:
- 8 gr for one coaster 100% cotton yarn – ONline Linie 165 Sandy Design, color 313 (240 m/100gr) or (262 yd/100gr)
- 3 mm (D/3) Hook
As for the dimensions of the coaster, they depend on your needs.
This coaster is in the shape of a hexagon. I made it 11 cm (4.33 in) in diagonal as you can see.
Crochet coaster pattern (US terms)
Abbreviations in the pattern:
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain
- dc – double crochet
So, START with ch 4 and make a ring with 1 sl st in the first chain from the hook. Then, follow with round 1.
ROUND 1: ch 4 (counts as 1 dc + ch 2) and make 2 dc in the ring. Then, (ch 2, 2 dc) repeat 4 times.
Finally, finish round 1 with ch 2, 1 dc in the ring and 1 sl st in the second ch from the beginning of the round.
So, you will get six sections. Each section consists of 2 dc separated by ch-2 space.
ROUND 2: 1 sc around the very first ch-2 space, ch 3 (all counts as 1 dc + ch 2), 1 dc around the same ch-2 space, (1 dc in each stitch, 1 dc around the next ch-2 space, ch 2, 1 dc around the same ch-2 space) repeat ( ) 5 times. Finally, make 1 dc in each stitch and 1 sl st in the first chain after the sc from the beginning of the round.
So, you will get six sections. In this round each section has 4 dc separated by ch-2 space.
ROUND 3: 1 sc around the very first ch-2 space, ch 3 (all counts as 1 dc + ch 2), 1 dc around the same ch-2 space, (1 dc in each stitch, 1 dc around the next ch-2 space, ch 2, 1 dc around the same ch-2 space) repeat ( ) 5 times. Finally, make 1 dc in each stitch and 1 sl st in the first chain after the sc from the beginning of the round.
You will get six sections. In this round each section has 6 dc separated by ch-2 space.
I made 6 rounds to get 11 cm (4.33 in) in diagonal.
