Crochet Shawl Pattern Easy is only one row repeat.
So, the shawl is fast to make it.
You can wear it in spring and summer, so I made it with sport cotton blend.
The cotton blend is 60% cotton, 40% acrylic.
For the shawl I used:
- 120 gr Elise from Järbo yarn (340 m/100 gr or 372 yd/100 gr)
- Hook 4 mm (G/6)
So, if you use this sport yarn, the dimensions of the shawl you will get are approx:
112 cm X 51 cm (44″ X 20″).
Of course, you can make it with any yarn that you like.
The gauge is not important for this shawl.
You can also make it smaller or larger.
Crochet Shawl Pattern (US terms):
Abbreviations in the pattern:
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain
- dc – double crochet
So, START with ch 4 and make a ring with 1 sl st in the first chain from the hook.
Row 1: ch 4 (counts as 1 dc + ch 1). Then, 1 dc in the ring, ch 1, 1 dc in the ring, ch 2, (1 dc in the ring, ch 1) repeat ( ) twice, 1 dc in the ring. Total 6 dc, 4 ch-1 spaces, 1 ch-2 space. Turn.
Row 2: ch 4 (counts as 1 dc + ch 1), 1 dc around the very first ch-1 space, ch 1, 1 dc in the next stitch. Then, ch 1, skip the next ch-1 space, 1 dc in the next stitch. Then, ch 1, 1 dc in the ch-2 space, ch 2, 1 dc in the same ch-2 space, ch 1, 1 dc in the next stitch. Continue with ch 1, skip the next ch-1 space, 1 dc in the next stitch. Then (ch 1, 1 dc around the ch-4 space) repeat ( ) twice. Total 10 dc, 8 ch-1 spaces, 1 ch-2 space. Turn.
Row 3: ch 4 (counts as 1 dc + ch 1). Then, 1 dc around the very first ch-1 space, ch 1, 1 dc in the next stitch. Continue with (ch 1, skip the next ch-1 space, 1 dc in the next stitch) repeat ( ) 3 times. Then, ch 1, 1 dc in the ch-2 space, ch 2, 1 dc in the same ch-2 space., ch 1, 1 dc in the next stitch. Continue with (ch 1, skip the next ch-1 space, 1 dc in the next stitch) repeat ( ) 3 times. Finish the row 3 with (ch 1, 1 dc around the ch-4 space) repeat ( ) twice. Total 14 dc, 12 ch-1 spaces, 1 ch-2 space. Turn.
So, you can see the shawl after 7th row
Then repeat in the same manner until the desired size.
