Crochet Solid Hexagon pattern is very beautiful.
This is because the hexagon has invisible joins of the rounds.
It also has a seamless join at the end.
Below you can see the written pattern as well as the video.
You can use it to make a blanket, shawl, scarf, poncho and everything you like.
Because of that, I made it with acrylic yarn. That way you can see how suitable it is.
Of course, you can make it with any yarn that you like.
For the hexagon motif I used:
- Sport acrylic yarn
- Hook 4.5 mm (7)
Crochet Solid Hexagon Pattern (US terms)
Let us first mention the abbreviations in the pattern:
- sl st – slip stitch
- ch – chain
- sc – single crochet
- dc – double crochet
So, START with ch 4 and make a ring with 1 sl st in the first chain.
Round 1: ch 4 (counts as 1 dc + ch 2) and make 2 dc in the ring. Then, (ch 2, 2 dc) repeat 4 times.
Finally, finish round 1 with ch 2, 1 dc in the ring and 1 sl st in the second ch from the beginning of the round.
So, you will get six sections. Each section consists of 2 dc separated by ch-2 space.
Round 2: 1 sc around the very first ch-2 space, ch 3 (all counts as 1 dc + ch 2), 1 dc around the same ch-2 space, (1 dc in each stitch, 1 dc around the next ch-2 space, ch 2, 1 dc around the same ch-2 space) repeat ( ) 5 times. Finally, 1 dc in each stitch and 1 sl st in the first chain after the sc from the beginning of the round.
You will get six sections (each has 4 dc separated by ch-2 space).
Round 3: 1 sc around the very first ch-2 space, ch 3 (all counts as 1 dc + ch 2), 1 dc around the same ch-2 space, (1 dc in each stitch, 1 dc around the next ch-2 space, ch 2, 1 dc around the same ch-2 space) repeat ( ) 5 times. Finally, make 1 dc in each stitch and 1 sl st in the first chain after the sc from the beginning of the round.
You will get six sections. In this round each section has 6 dc separated by ch-2 space.
I made 5 rounds to get the dimensions: 12 cm (4.72 in) in diagonal.
